Centre Clears New Six-Lane Bridge on River Ganga and MSP Hike for Coconut in Latest Cabinet Meet

In a significant development, the Union Cabinet has given the green light to crucial infrastructure projects and agricultural measures during its recent session.




: The Cabinet has approved the construction of a six-lane bridge spanning the river Ganga between Digha and Sonpur in Bihar. The 4.56 km-long bridge, estimated at Rs 3,064.45 crore, aims to enhance connectivity and facilitate the passage of large water vessels under its expanse.

Additionally, the Cabinet endorsed the proposal to link North Tripura and South Tripura, enhancing connectivity in the region. The project, covering a 135-km section between the Khowai-Harinaroad in Tripura, will cost Rs 2,486.78 crore.
