Cabinet decided on Aug end to make Goa open defecation free: CM

The chief minister Pramod Sawant held his first full fledged cabinet on Tuesday.



Decisions taken included amending the Health Act to include sewerage along with water and electricity in it, concentration on making Goa as a open defecation free state by 31st of august and giving ex post facto approval to contractual Kumeri staff.


Pramod Sawant is the chief minister post Manohar Parrikar.


Immediately after taking over he had to fight 4 by polls and two Lok Sabha polls.


He won three by poll seats and one Lok Sabha seat.


Lots of issues including casinos, bridges and highways are on the cards.


And the chief minister aid that the next assembly session which will be for 15 days, is to start by the first week of July.
