DGP Muktesh Chander said that 19683 licenses were seized and forwarded for suspension to the transport department. He also said that there was a 48% increase in prosecution of traffic offenders.

Also there was an , increase in detection of drug cases by 33 % and human trafficking cases by 33%.

The DGP said that the department was felicitating the Pernem PI Sandesh Chodankar and his team for cracking the foreigner rape as well as 32 Lakh burglary case.

The DGP however cautioned business to put up CCTVs to ensure that added protection was there for premises.
