Environmentalist, organizations and political forces are now taking further steps, saying that the government is not serious about the Mhadai river water diversion.
The RGP has decided to hold a meeting
at Azad Maidan on 8th January to discuss about
the further planning.
The Mhadai issue has been in picture for a long time. But no seriousness on any agitation can be seen in the state. Now some of the Goans were rudely awoken after the statement of Karnataka's WRD minister that he would complete the Mhadai project within a year. The RGP has called a special meeting in Panaji on January 8 at 5.30 and have appealed to the locals to attend in large numbers.
