NGO condemns CM statements made across the border

Goencho Avaaz has hit out at the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant over his statements in Sindhudurg. Chief Minister had allegedly said that Goa is dependent on Sindhudurga for essential supplies, Mopa airport will benefit Sindhudurga and GMC will also serve Sindhudurg tourism.

 Chief Minister Pramod Sawant was in Sindhudurg for a function. Goencho Awaaz argued that the way Chief Minister spoke it was as if he was telling the people there that Goa will work in favour of Maharashtra.

This is in direct contradiction to the call given by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the beginning of the pandemic about making 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' and simultaneous call by Chief Minister for Swayampurna in Goa.
