Cabinet: Hike in income limit for compassionate appointment to Rs 5 lakh approved || ENGLISH || GOA365

The Cabinet today cleared the increase the annual income limit for availing the compassionate appointment scheme from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh and approved the transfer of 25,000 sqmts of government land to it.

The higher income limit will be applicable to all applications since April 1.  As on date around 350 applications for compassionate appointment are pending before the government the Chief Minister DrPramodSawant said. If a person dies while in government service, the next of kin of the deceased can apply for compassionate employment with the govt.
