Mungul locals reiterate their demand for stilt bridge for western bypass

Mungul locals have reiterated their demand for a stilted bridge along the western bypass as they fear flooding if the land is filled up with mud.

They have handed over a memorandum to the office of TCP Minister Vijai  Sardessai over the issue.

The Mungul locals say  the authorities have planned culverts across the flow of  monsoon water and not  in the direction of the water flow.

They fear this could result in stagnation of water. They say sometimes River Sal gets choked and monsoon water flows back towards the land.
