Baina Demolition Drive: 34 out of 121 structures down to rubble

On Thursday morning over 30 structures to down to rubble for violating CRZ norms 

The Office of Mormugao Mamlatdar with the help of South Goa Demolition Squad on Thursday demolished 34 structures that were allegedly constructed violating CRZ norms at Katem Baina on under heavy police protection.

Meanwhile, those fishermen community who lost their structures in Thursday’s demolition claimed that they have been living at Katem-Baina shore since last so many decades with some even before liberation.

They said that the state government was supposed to notify fishing villages which they failed under CRZ notification and hence even failed to provide any relief to them.
