Less profit in growing crops, says Bicholkars

Animal-man conflict has taken alarming proportions in Bicholi in the past 3-4 years.



And almost 30 percent crop production is getting affected because of this.

Agriculturalists are complaining of wild animals like wild boar, monkeys and porcupines destroying the produce.

Local farmers and agriculturalist are upset over what they say is the apathy of the government in resolving this issue.

 These wild animals have been destroying crops in Latambarcem, Nanoda and other surrounding areas.

Laxman Vaze a Sonarbhat local said that animals destroy coconuts. He said that this problem started some three to four years ago.   

Bicholim ZAO Pradeep Malik said about 30% Of production is affected by monkeys and others animal's in villages in Bicholim . Government is giving 90% Subsidy for power fencing to framers.

Many farmers have put up fences but many have not.
