After getting screened at 12 international film festivals all over the Globe and winning the Special Jury Award in Belarus in Eastern Europe, the most awaited Konkani film ‘Juze’ was finally premiered in Goa on Friday. The first show was housefull in Madgao.

Goa’s young director Miransha Naik’s film Juze has been screened at 12 international film festivals all over the Globe and has now received three nominations at the New York International Film Festival to be held next month.

The premiere held at Ravindra Bhavan in Madgao on Friday pulled a huge crowd.

The whole cast was introduced and blessed by Fr Amandio Valadares, Manager of the Tilamol high scholl, where Miransha studied.

The 90-minute film is perhaps Goa’s first adult film, which deals with the exploitation of migrant labourers and also a Goan boy by a Goan slumlord.

Goa365 tried to gauge the response after the screening from some prominent personalities as well as the general crowd, including foreigners.

The Konkani film is screened with English sub-titles. Watch these reactions.

The next screening of the film is scheduled on 16th April at Maquenez Palace in Panaji.
