The fever of Football is high in Football Crazy state due to the ongoing FIFA Under 17 World Cup.

But absence of a Goan footballer in the host team was always a matter of regret for the Goans. A “Goan” feel or a Goan touch in the World Cup was missing.

However Moses Gonsalves has made it possible by designing and delivering Goalkeeper’s kits of the Guinea Juniors team within 3 hours on Saturday.

Moses Gonsalves and his team at Avlon Sports Wear at Ribandar did what the Guinea team would have thought was impossible within the 3 crucial hours on Saturday.

Moses who designs and manufactures jerseys and sportswear for all the major clubs in Goa including Goa’s very own FC Goa feels extremely lucky to have delivered what he had always dreamt of, designing a jersey for team for a World Class tournament like FIFA World Cup.

Moses who works with a workforce of around 18 people at his workshop in Ribandar thanks all his team members for putting in that extra effort for fulfilling his dream.

He says he feels extremely lucky to have accomplished what was missing in this world cup, “the Goan touch”!

Moses, a diehard fan of Goan football says Goa should have more and more residential academies for improving the quality of football in the state at grassroots level.
