Tree collapses in Revora, 11 year old dies on the spot

His injured mother and other family members were rushed to the hospital.

The neighborhood had a dispute going on for last several years regarding the same dangerous tree.

The incident occurred in the intervening night between Saturday and Sunday.

The old Banyan tree from the Betal temple compound collapsed on three houses which have suffered major damage, but the most horrific loss was death of 11 year old Samarth Revodkar who was sleeping inside the house.

The neighbours claim that this incident occurred only because of delay on part of the authorities to cut off the dangerous tree.
