Special provisions for dengue cases in Murgao

Vasco Urban Health Centre has instructed the private hospitals in the town to provide the details of dengue cases on a day-to-day basis.



There have been an alarming rise in dengue cases in Vasco and other parts of Mormugao,  . 

 A host of directions have been issued during a meeting called by Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida and attended by MMC Chief Officer Deepali Naik. chairperson Deepak Naik, health officials from Vasco and representatives of private hospitals in Vasco on Thursday. Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida informed that about 22 dengue cases have been reported across Mormugao Taluka in August. He said that during the coordination meeting it was noted that dengue cases are not being reported on a daily basis by private hospitals to Urban  Health Centre. Hence strict instructions have been issued to fill the communication gap.

Health officer Rashmi khandeparkar stated that the dengue test is not done at  Chicalim hospital. She said this has forced the poor people to face hardship. Hence the Vasco MKA has approached a  corporate body to sponsor the kits of the dengue tests
