Email me if teachers shout at your questions; CM tells students

That too from the chief minister.

Manohar Parrikar has told the students to send him an email if teachers shout at them when they ask questions.

He also requested the teachers not to get intimidated by students asking questions.

The chief minister was speaking on the teacher’s day function in Panaji on Tuesday.

The Education Minister also put forward the idea of passed out students proposing and recommending their teachers for the ideal teacher award.

He, however, said this idea needs to be discussed and debated further.

Director of Higher Education Dr. Gajanan Bhatt and other dignitaries were present at the function.

Parrikar also said that he was determined to ensure that good quality mid day meals are served to students.

He said that he had given instructions to the Food and Drugs Authority to ensure proper hygiene.

On Monday the FDA had inspected and closed the kitchen of a self-help group supplying food to 9 schools in and around Valpoi.

The SHG Bhumika Mahila Mandal was providing mid day meals to about 900 students to 9 students from in and around Valpoi.

The chief minister also spoke about the DEd teachers asking them to register and get regularized.
