ECI to decide on Govt employees demand, GGEA to approach Human Rights Commission for rights

The demand of honorarium equivalent of 1 month salary for Govt employees who work as Booth Level Officers has been forwarded by the office of Chief Electoral Officer f Goa to the Election Commission of India.

The ball is now in court of Election Commission to take final call on their demand

The GGEA had previously got the honorarium for BLOs increased to 5000.

According to additional Chief Electoral Officer Narayan Navti Goa is one of the states which gives highest amount of honorarium to the employees who serve as BLOs.

But at the same time he also accepts that their duties and duty hours are increased manifold.
