Will Pratapsing Rane win the Poriem seat for the consecutive 11th time? He won it last time, but the Bharatiya Janata party had posed a serious threat to him in 2012



And his margin was reduced to mere 2300. His opponent Vishwajeet K Rane claims he would definitely defeat the opposition leader this time.

Pratapsing Ranehas been getting elected from this constituency since 1972. And the 78-year old veteran politician has been a minister, chief minister, speaker and the leader of opposition, initially in the MGP government and then the Congress.

In 2012, he told voters that it would be his last election. And he contested once again this time. 


It is said that Loha Lohe-ko Katata Hai. That’s why BJP has been fielded Vishwajeet Krishnrao Rane against the senior Rane.Vishwajit claims he would achieve what he could not, in 2012.

He is confident of defeating this Goa’s oldest sitting MLA. 


Sitaram Gawas is a new entrant as Aam Admi Party. His only hope is the silent voter.
