Will Navelim voter make Luizinho Goa’s next CM?

If Congress wins this seat and also the majority seats, then Luizinho Faleiro has chances to become the CM.

But he is fighting a BJP-supported sitting minister Avertano Furtado. 

In 2012, Avertano had support of both the BJP and the MGP. But this time, the MGP has a candidate in Navelim.

But Avertano feels that development of last five years is on his side this time.

Luizinho Faleiro entered Navelim at last minute this time though he has represented this constituency six times since 1980, till Churchill Alemao defeated him in 2007.

But this time he is also facing a threat from independent candidate Edwin Cardoz, supported by Goa Forward. Luizinho is thus dependent more upon the elders than the youngsters. 

MGP candidate Satyavijay Naik is also confident of winning. It is rumoured that the military votes added in Navelim this time would go to the MGP and BJP.

Because one of the in-charge in Goa is a classmate of MGP leader Sudin Dhawalikar. is thus dependent more upon the elders than the youngsters. 

EdwinCardoz has suddenly become important independent candidate from the time Goa Forward supported him.

In retaliation of Congress fielding a candidate in Fatorda against Vijai Sardesai, Goa Forward is bent upon defeating Faleiro in Navelim.
