Reginald to move breach of privilege on casino issue

He alleges that these officers have misguided the high court, who allowed the sixth casino. On the other hand, Goa Forward wants no more casinos and shift all the casinos from River Mandovi. 

 The sixth casino owned by former Haryana minister Gopal Kanda was allowed by the BJP government after high court ordered to allow it after paying the arrears of 48 crore rupees.

According to Reginald, the concerned government officials did not inform the high court that then chief minister Manohar Parrikar had assured the Assembly that no more casino licenses would be issued. That’s why he is now filing breach of privilege motion against these officers. 

Goa Forward minister Vijai Sardesai however does not want more casinos in Goa and also not a single casino vessel in River Mandovi.

He plans to get these demands included in the common minimum programme of the ruling coalition.
