Parrikar helped Caitu to declare him Indian citizen: Churchill

NCP candidate in benauli Churchill Alemao has alleged Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has used his influence with the ministry of home affairs to declare Benaulim MLA Caetano Silva as the citizen of India.

union Ministry of Home Affairs recently withdrew its own order, declaring Caitu Silva as the Portuguese citizen because he had registered his birth in Portugal.

The Bombay high court at Goa had later quashed this order. But Churchill claims that Parrikar got the order withdrawn.
