WRDMinister Vinod Palayekar hasonce again ruled out any out of court settlement on Mhadei issue.

In fact now he has said Goa won’t give a single drop of water to Karnataka. He has also assured the Assembly to form a House Committee on the issue of illegal fishing with LED lights.

Palayekar had come into controversy over his statement of agreeing to out of court settlement on the issue Goa is fighting before the Mhadei water dispute tribunal. But now in the Assembly he made a categorical statement that Goa won’t agree to any kind of mutual settlement.

Members of the House on Monday demanded that a House Committee formed to tackle the issue of illegal fishing with LED lights. Palayekar agreed to the demand in principle while replying to the demands on his department of fisheries.
