No expansion of Vasco coal import till Zero pollution achieved: CM

unless the pollution of the existing coal import is brought to zero level. He has also agreed to write to the centrenot  to allow the expansion plan till all modern facilities are provided to control coal pollution.

The issue was raised by Congress MLA Alex Reginald Lourenco. Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida and Kutthali MLA Alina Saldanha also raised important queries.

Parrikar said the coal capacity has already been reduced by 25 per cent after monitoring pollution level till May. And the next monitoring till December would be carried out after monsoons.
