MGP to withdraw BJP support on Thus GSM alliance finalised

The Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party will formally withdraw its support to the BJP government on Thursday



Party president Dipak Dhawalikar said they have agreed in principle to go for alliance with the Goa Suraksha Manch.

  Priol MLA Dipak Dhawalikar announced on Wednesday yet another candidate – Dipak Pawaskar from Savodde. This has put the rumours to rest that BJP MLA Ganesh Gaonkar may join the MGP if BJP president Vinay Tendulkar is given Savodde ticket. Dhawalikar said the party has already finalised 19 candidates by now. They will formally withdraw support to the BJP government on Thursday.

Meanwhile, independent MLA of Bicholi, Naresh Sawal resigned as the MLA on Wednesday, after election date was announced. He will join the MGP on 8th of January.
