Let Vishwajeet & Madkaikar quit Cong: Digvijay

After Pandurang Madkaikar, now it’s Vishwajeet Rane. National Congress leader Digvijay Singh has said they will field some other candidates if both these Congress MLAs quit the party.



Digvijay has also asked Election Commission of India to direct the government not to make any changes to the ODPs of Panaji, Mapusa and Madgao till the Assembly election.

 Digvijay Singh said the party would not succumb to blackmailing tactics of anybody.

He said the Congress did not mind if Vishwajeet didn’t want to contest from Valpoi and Madkaikar from Cumbarjuveon Congress tickets.

The Congress has started preparing itself for a state-wide padyatra next month, aiming to contest all the 40 seats.

 Digvijay also opposed government plan to change FAR-2 to FAR-3.

He said it would change the ethnic character of Goa, known forits Bungalows, Greenery and Environmental Ambience
