Leaders and intellectuals diagnose socio-political health of India

Corruption, governance, danger of negative perception of politicians, change in political discourse were some of the topics discussed with passion on the last day of difficult dialogues



However, all these were underlined by an optimism that Indians have started gaining confidence in themselves. 

DrFaroq Abdulla, former union minister and former chief minister of Jammu Kashmir appealed for unity and dialogue, arguing that this was the only way for the country to improve.

Congress’s SachinPilot on the other hand called corruption not just a political problem, but a social problem.

Vice Chancellor of Goa University Varun Sahani, economic and political analyst  Surjitballa called corruption a bane on governance and said that the country needed to become more performance based instead of reservation based.
