GST second event after Independence: Amit Shah

Amit was accorded a warm welcome by the BJP supporters at the Dabolim International Airport when he arrived in Goa on Saturday.

Among the leaders present were Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar, BJP’s state president Vinay Tendulkar and a large number of women. 

Amit addressed the gathering and complimented Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders from the BJP as well as other political parties for their support in the successful implementation of GST.

He said that the new tax reform would help eradicate ‘inspector raj’ in the country.

From the airport, the BJP national president was driven to Azad Maidan where he laid a wreath at the Martyr’s memorial and paid floral tributes.

He also planted a sapling.

Amit later interacted with the elected representatives at Altinho and had lunch with them.
