Gaude refuses to join BJP, Parrikar says Dhawalikars won’t be in BJP Govt

Looks like several parties like AAP and BJP are coming together to defeat Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party President Dipak Dhawalikar in Priol.

By supporting independent candidate Govind Gaude. Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has also said that Dhawalikar brothers won’t be part of the BJP government.

In fact defence minister Manohar Parrikar gave a clear hint on Friday at a BJP rally in Mhaddol that his party plans to make all kinds arrangement to defeat Dhawalikar in Priol constituency. The rally was also addressed by Ayush Minister  Shripad Naik, BJP  state president  Vinay Tendulkar and former Priol MLA Vishwas Satarkar.

Soon after this rally on Friday, Gaude was called by Parrikar at the BJP office on Saturday. Gaude however flatly rejected the offer to join the BJP. In a straight fight in 2012, Gaude had polled 10 thousand votes against 12 thousand by Dipak. And Dipak at that time was supported by the BJP. Now, AAP has supported him while BJP has still not announced its candidate in Priol.

Meanwhile, Parrikar indirectly countered open invitation to the MGP to join the BJP government, accorded by his union cabinet colleague Nitin Gadkari. He clearly stated in Mhaddol that none of the Dhawalikar brothers would be part of the BJP government.
