Congress has alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party is indulged in scams while conducting competitive exams of the Goa Public Service Commission.

The party activists have claimed that the BJP has committed various frauds to systematically block Goans from entering the administrative services. They have called GPSC the flag bearer of nepotism in the state.

The exams for the post of Juniors Scale Officers were held on 24th September 2017.

Congress activist Avinash Tavares claims that this screening test and the whole competitive exam wasn’t in the official language Konkani, which according to them is an attempt to give backdoor entry to non Goans.

They have also alleged that certain specific questions asked in the exams were out of the specified syllabus.

They say the commission had set the cut off percentages completely on arbitrary manner and had no real stand.

According to them out of the candidates who have been shortlisted for these advertised 10 posts, in General catergory, only one is a Goan.
