Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar has also now announced that this would be his last election. After that, he would retire.

Reacting to this, BBSM leader Uday Bhembre has reminded the people about a similar announcement made by defence minister Manohar Parrikar, much before he became the chief minister for the second time.

The occasion was the book release function of the Official Language Department.

O P Mishra’s English book ‘Watch Out’ has been translated by veteran journalist Prakash Kamat in Konkani.

CM Parsekar released the book in the presence of Panaji MLA Siddharth Kunkolkar and official language director Dr Prakash Vazrikar.

This was followed by a two-day workshop for the teachers on expertise in language.

CM said he plans to retire from politics after five years and would prefer to write memoirs of his experience as the CM.

The media persons asked for the reaction from the leaders of the Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch on this announcement.

Adv Uday Bhembre was quick to react, in his own sarcastic manner.
