Rajya Sabha MP Shantaram Naik has finally been appointed the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President.

He has termed the formation of BJP-led government as a dacoity at midnight and wants to get the treasure back during his tenure. He has also said he would build the party in his own way.

The official letter appointing Shantaram Naik as the new President of GPCC President was released on Friday afternoon. He will take over from outgoing President Luizinho Faleiro on Saturday. Shantaram also made it clear that he is not an interim president but a fullfledged one. And he would also contest the President’s election, which would be held in a couple of months.

This is what Shantaram told the Madgao reporters. And Goa365 also spoke to him on phone.

There are attempts going on to topple the BJP-led coalition government, for which a precondition was to replace Faleiro with a new President of their choice. When our reporter asked him about Faleiro’s performance, this was his reply.

And this is what Shantaram said about the formation of alternate government. Also about the Rajya Sabha candidate.
