BJP confirms Madkaikar joining, but Cumbarjuve Mandal opposes

Bharatiya Janata Party has confirmed that a proposal regarding Congress MLA Pandurang Madkaikar joining the party and contesting from Cumbarjuve has come before the party. But the Cumbarjuve BJP Mandal has opposed the proposal. This was revealed by former Sarpanch of Old Goa Vishal Volvoikar.

Volvoikar told Goa 365 that his party leaders confirmed with the Mandal that the proposal of joining the BJP is pending before the party.

He wants to quit the Congress and contest on BJP ticket.

But the Mandal has strongly opposed it.

Volvoikar alleged that Madkaikar was joining the BJP for his personal gains.
