20% less vote in the second phase of panchayat polls

Highest voting of 94% was recorded in Curca-Bambolim.  The lowest was in the ward 8 of Penha da Fraaca. 63%.

 These were the elections for only one or two wards in 11 panchayats of six talukas who had gone to the court over the issue of reserved wards.

Voting was completely peaceful. And this is the break-up of voting of 15 wards.

Due to these wards, counting of all the wards of these panchayats was held up. This counting of total 99 wards would be now held on Sunday. These are the places of counting at taluka centres.
