20% less vote in the second phase of panchayat polls

The second phase of panchayat elections of 15 reserved wards recorded almost 20 per cent less voting on Saturday than the first phase of 80% on 11th June.



Highest voting of 94% was recorded in Curca-Bambolim.  The lowest was in the ward 8 of Penha da Fraaca. 63%.

 These were the elections for only one or two wards in 11 panchayats of six talukas who had gone to the court over the issue of reserved wards.

Voting was completely peaceful. And this is the break-up of voting of 15 wards.
