15 reserved wards: Poll on 1 July, counting on 2 July

The government has finalised 1st July as the date for the second phase of elections of the 15 reserved wards of 10 panchayats.



But State Election Commission has not yet finalised the schedule. The counting would however be held on 2nd July.


Goa’s 186 panchayats are going for polls on this Sunday. But the elections of 15 reserved wards of 10 panchayats are being rescheduled as per the court orders.


Directorate of Panchayats has decided to hold these elections on 1st of July.


But the State Election Commission is waiting for the government order. After that, it would finalise the schedule of nominations, scrutiny, withdrawals etc.


State Election Commissioner R K Srivastava has also appealed to Goans to come out in large numbers and vote on 11th of June.
