Melwani defies SIT summons in mining probe, approaches court

Harish Melwani of H L Natrumal has refused to respond to the summons and appear for interrogation. Instead, he has approached the court seeking clarification. And also for anticipatory bail.

Melwani is one of the mine owners summoned by Goa police. He has always been vociferous in the whole mining scam of 35 thousand crore rupees.

He wants to cooperate with the police.

But wants to know why he has been summoned. And thus approached the court. The hearing is fixed for the 12^th of June.

Melwani also questioned the obtuse way the investigation was being conducted and asked why no investigation was being conducted on ore traders, how they got their registrations and complaints filed against them.

Melwani also told Goa 365 why he does not believe in exporting to China and why we should not export to China.
