Verna'kars demands re-erection of speed breakers

They have demanded for re-erection of speed breakers at Morod junction as this road is turning to be a death trap. Many accidents have been reported. 

 Locals have stated that the Morod Junction on Verna bypass road on NH-17 road has literally become a death trap with accidents taking place at regular intervals.

They said that, during 2016 BRICS summit held in Goa, the state government had removed speed breakers on both the sides of the road at the junction.

But despite of repeated request to reinstall the speed breakers, authorities have blind eye.

On Wednesday the locals stated that they will block the highway traffic at Morod junction if their demands are not fulfilled.
