The after effects of demonetization of 500 and 1000 currency notes are quite evident even after almost 2 weeks of the government’s decision.

Villagers and Tourists in the village of Shivoli, which is very close to many tourist attractions, are suffering hardships as some of the ATMs in the village are closed since last one week and others have long queues outside.

Shivoli is the hub for tourists because of its close proximity to various beaches in North Goa.

But since last one week the tourists and villagers are in trouble since they cannot exchange their old currency notes.

Some ATMs have been closed since past few days due to the shortage of 100 rupees notes and non availability of new notes.

Long queues of tourists from the coastal belt were observed at few ATMs those were open.

Few ATMs in Mapusa City are also closed from last few days.
