Sewage spoiling Raia vegetables sold in Margao market

The farmers  say that despite repeated complaints to the authorities concerned nothing has changed.

 Produce from these fields is normally sold in Margao market. Curtorim MLA Aleixo  Reginaldo Lourenco along with the  farmers and sewerage department officials inspected the site on Wednesday to find out where the sewage leak takes place .  

On one  side the government has been encouraging agricultural activity but all over the state, incidents  like these are commonplace.

The sewerage department has promised to do the needful in a couple of days
