Salcette truck owners gherao officials over GPS activation

The truck owners from Salcette have claimed that the agency which is supposed to install and activate the GPS machines is not activating their machines despite paying the fees on time.
They have urged
the authorities to withdraw the system if it cannot implement it properly.
The Office of this agency in Madgao was gheraoed by the truck owners from Salcete on Monday morning.
Truck owner Firoz Shaikh said firstly the cost of this system is very high and in spite of paying the fees the agency has not activated the system even after 150 hours against the 24 hours assured by them.
Truck owners have demanded that the GPS system should be implemented to all including the buses.
Agency later clarified to the
truck owners that there was a technical error and problem will soon be rectified.
