PWD workers hold strike demanding regularization

The workers were demanding that they be absorbed immediately. 

The workers have demanded that outsiders should not be employed in PWD as there are a lot of Goans including many who are presently working in the PWD for more than 20 years already working in the PWD as contract workers.

They have alleged that the PWD has illegally appointed lots of additional staff despite this.

Now the protesting workers want the Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to absorb them as and when vacancies arise.
