Goa Dairy to modernize its setup with central funds

Goa Dairy has received 7 crore 91 lakh rupees from the central government as part of national programme on dairy development.
This amount is the first annual allocation.
The central government has sanctioned 16 crore rupees in total for improvement of Goa Dairy. Out of this, 13 crore rupees is grants in aid.
Goa Dairy wil use the funds to provide bulk coolers and cans to the milk societies. Goa Dairy will also replace its aging machinery.
Milk suppliers to the Goa Dairy will get analysis of the milk they supplied on their mobile.
The milk suppliers will be provided with automatic milk collection and analyzing units.
