Cashew plantation in Balli gutted in fire

The fire raged till afternoon. All cashew plantations were completely destroyed with the owner suffering a loss of about one lakh rupees.
The fire men from Madgao fire station rushed to the site and controlled the fire.
By the time fire tenders could reach the site the Kaju plantation area was almost destroyed. Most of the trees in the plantation were burnt to ashes.
The plantation owner Guru Naik gave details about the fire scene.
