Cansaulim villagers oppose hotel project

 They say this is an eco-sensitive area. There are low-lying fields with a number of water bodies around. 

 The locals allege that in case the construction activity is permitted  in the said plot, the ponds and storm water drains locally known as handis will be destroyed and there will be no detention basins for rain water.

The villagers say this will result in flooding of the village. The Cansaulim Village Action Committee and Cansaulim Cuelim Consumer Forum have been fighting against this project for a long time now.
