Imposing one language under pretext of homogenization wrong: Mauzo

Renowned author Damodar Mauzo says the recent trend of imposing single language nationwide under the pretext of homogenization is wrong.



He also said that it is, in fact, the illiterate old rural folk who are preserving the true essence of any language in the recent era of corrupting languages.

Mauzo was speaking at the seminar on study of dialects of Konkani organized by Konkani Bhasha Mandal and Jaag Prakashan in memory of Madhavi Sardesai at Margao on Sunday.
