Income Tax Dept. conducts raids on business houses.

The income tax department on Friday raided several business establishments in Goa, including mining firm of Fomento.

This is the first raid conducted in Goa after demonetisation.

Officials of Income tax department from Karnataka on Friday morning conducted surprise raids in Madgao and Panaji.

It included G N Agarwal from Madgao as well as offices and residence of mining firm of Fomento in Madgao and Panaji.

The raid was going for the whole day.

But none of the officers were ready to speak to the media.
