AICC secretary Girish Chodankar has filed a complaint with the Chief Electoral Officer about bogus names in the electoral roll of the Panaji constituency.

He has asked the CEO to delete these names when the electoral rolls are being revised.

Girish had unsuccessfully contested in the Panaji bye election as a Congress candidate against  Manohar Parrikar of the BJP.

Girish says when he visited the areas as part of his door-to-door campaign during electioneering, he found these voters  were not residing at the addresses mentioned in the electoral roll.

He has called for a detailed inquiry into the matter and deletion of the names of the bogus voters.
