Calangute to go garbage-free in 6 months

Calangute MLA Michael Lobo has decided to make his constituency garbage free within the next six months.



Garbage bins will placed at every 50 meters in all the four villages – Calangute, Candolim, Arpora and Parra.

Calangute MLA Michael Lobo held a meeting with all four panchayats of his constituency on Monday in Calangute.

In this meeting he told the panchayat Sarpanch and panchas of Candolim, Calangute, Nagoa-Arpora and Para to maintain cleanliness and keep the village garbage free.

He has given dustbins to every panchayat for collection of garbage and maintain cleanliness.

Michael also added that the EDC has sanctioned 12 crore rupees for the private land acquired by government to develop the underground sewerage pipeline in Calangute.


Michael is also planning to have same underground pipeline network in candolim and other parts of his constituency.
