If all goes well the Lucky 7 vessel will be out of Goan waters within 2 weeks.

The Captain of Ports has given the promoters of Lucky 7 vessel place to berth and get their underwater survey done as per the High Court Orders.

Captain James Braganza said that the vessel will be then shifted to Ratnagiri to a dry dock to get it repaired. The Court also directed both the state and the company to prepare a status report.

On Wednesday the High Court has allowed Lucky 7 vessel to anchor in the Mandovi to do an underwater survey to assess the damage to the grounded vessel.

The Court had directed the Captain of Ports to specify and inform about a place by September 15 where the vessel can be anchored.

The vessel is supposed to be anchored at that specified place on September 20.The underwater survey has to be completed by September 24.

The Court said that if any type of pollution is caused to the Mandovi then it is the responsibility of the company and any breach of the Court’s directions would result in cancellation of permissions and licenses.
