Rachol paddy fields cultivation, a community exercise.

It is a community affair involving priests, seminarians and locals.

On this day priests from the seminary, seminarians and locals from Borda, Shiroda and Rachol come together to grow the fields in an exercise in community living like that of the yesteryears.

The priests from the Rachol seminary use the rice grown in these fields for their needs. And once the fields are harvested, the community helps the priests to grow vegetables.

This yearly exercise in community farming feeds around 100 people for the year.
