Landslide awareness programme held in Vasco for students

Mormugao deputy Collector Mahadev Araundekar said that landslide awareness and mitigation program are important as students can play an important role in saving lives of locals.
Landslide risk mitigation programme was organized by the South Goa district collectorate along with Geological Survey of India at MPT hall on Tuesday.
Director of Geological Survey of India Dr Pankaj Jaiswal said that landslide risk mitigation programme is being undertaken by the Landslide Hazard Information Management Division of Geological Survey of India as per its approved field season activities.
He highlighted the importance and timely conduction of the programme in the State.
Many students and locals from the area took benefit of this awareness program.
