Fishing ban starts…. till 31 July!

All the fishing trawlers have come back at different jetties and are being moored, nets folded and hisabkitab of the workers done.

Most of the workers on these boats are from Orissa and Jharkand.

The ban will be for 61 days. During the ban no motorized boats are allowed to venture in the sea and fish.

The fisheries department has promised strict monitoring with the help of the coastal police to ensure that the ban is upheld in toto.
