ESG organises 2 film festivals to mark 70 years of India’s independence

The Entertainment Society of Goa, in association with the Directorate of Film Festivals, is organizing a Patriotic Film Festival on the occasion of India’s 70 years of Independence.



The festival will be organized from the 14th to the 16th of August at Maquinez Palace.

Present on the occasion were member of ESG governing council Sachin Chate, general manager of ESG Mrunal Walke and secretary of Cinephile Club Ramnath Pai Raikar.

Three films will be screened on three days, namely  Lokmanya Tilak – Man of Age on the 14th of August, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on the 15th and Sardar on the 16th of August.

The ESG will also organise a Girish Kasaravalli’s national award winning film festival from the 18th to 20th of August at auditorium 1 of Maquinez Palace.

The screenings will be as follows: on 18th August Ghatashraddha (English: the Ritual), on 19th Deepa, on 20th Hasina and Gulabi Talkies.
